Dr. Phil Williams, Principal of Trion High School, stated, “This success begins with the exceptional staff in Elementary, Middle, and High School where our students are encouraged to realize their potential.

Trion High School is one of seven Georgia public schools named as a 2009 National Blue Ribbon School.

The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program honors public and private elementary, middle and high schools that are either academically superior or that demonstrate dramatic gains in student achievement to high levels. In addition to being honored at a ceremony in Washington, DC, where each school receives a plaque and flag signifying their status, these schools serve as models for other schools throughout the nation. For 2009, there were 314 schools who received the prestigious award, 264 public and 50 private schools.
