The Trion High Baseball Team takes on the War Eagles of Jenkins County in their Elite Eight matchup today. The Bulldogs are hoping to keep their playoff run going. The first game starts at 4:00 PM and the second game to follow. If neither team wins both games, a tiebreaker "if game" will be played tomorrow. The boys have had an exceptional season, with less than 5 losses and hope to continue advancing in playoffs. Athletic director Justin Brown commented, "We are excited our boys have made it this far and it would be awesome if they could make their way to the final two." The last state win for our baseball team was in 1983 under coach J.W. Greenwood, with greats such as Kenny Gilreath and Stacy Searels, and our own Superintendent Phil Williams leading the team. Coaches Jason Lanham, Steve Gladney, Josh Groce, and Jordan Day have worked very hard all season and are very proud of their boys.
