Mrs. Roberts is an alumna of Trion High School (Class of ’79). She earned her Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Berry College and holds certifications in the areas of Educational Leadership, Early Childhood Education, and P-5 Special Education. Mrs. Roberts has served public schools at the school, system, and state levels as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and School Improvement Specialist with the Georgia Department of Education. Happy to be home again, Mrs. Roberts serves Trion City Schools as the Federal Programs Director where she is responsible for administering and supervising the programs listed below. |

Trion Elementary is our system's only Title I school. TES has 100% teachers and paraprofessionals deemed "Highly-Qualified"! Title I is a federally funded program that provides funds to school systems based on their poverty index

Title II-A is a federally funded program providing resources for ensuring that all teachers of core academic subjects are "highly-qualified". In compliance with the requirements of the No Child Left Behind statute, parents are hereby notified that they may request information about the professional qualifications of their student's teacher(s). The following information may be requested: 1) Whether the teacher meets the Georgia Professional Standards Commission requirements for certification of the grade level and subject area in which the teacher provides instruction; 2) Whether the teacher is teaching under an emergency or other provisional status through which Georgia qualifications or certification criteria have been waived; 3) The college major and any graduate certification or degree held by the teacher, and 4) Whether the student is provided services by paraprofessionals, and if so, their qualification. If parents which to request information, they should contact the principal during school hours.
